Auckland Wedding Okahu Bay: Pavan and Pemindra

We had the pleasure of photographing Pavan and Pemindra's wedding at Okahu Bay, Auckland. Pavan and Pemindra had a traditional Sri Lankan wedding ceremony involving customs that we have never photographed before.

After the ceremony and the wedding lunch we headed to Bastion Point for the photos.  It was raining all afternoon but that didn't matter as we were prepared with umbrellas. We also went to the Auckland domain which has lovely areas for photography.

The day was full of love and beautiful traditions and it was great sharing the day with them both.

Islas First Birthday and Four Generations.

It was lots of fun photographing Isla for her first birthday, she was so photogenic and would smile whenever we told her to clap her hands. As it was a miserable day outside Jade and I had fun turning the living area of her house into a pretty set, the natural light and airy feel was perfect for the indoor photography session.

We also captured the four generations of females in the Taylor family. This was a surprise for Jades grandma when we showed up at her house, she really loved the experience as its not often all the girls can get together for a special photo shoot. The funniest thing was the girls all wore polka dots and this was just a coincidence!

Gracehill Wedding: Auckland Wedding Photographer

Steve and May got married at the stunning venue Gracehill Vineyard Estate in Kumeu, Auckland. The newly married couple live in Hong Kong where May is from, but originally met in Christchurch New Zealand. After two ceremonies in Hong Kong this was the third and final wedding celebration but one of the most relaxed ones, not to mention the first wedding in New Zealand that May had ever been to.

Steve's Mum Linda and sister Sarah organised most of the wedding for them while Steve and May were living in Hong Kong and returned back to Auckland to get married and celebrate with their New Zealand friends and family.  It was touch and go whether they would be able to have their ceremony outside because of the rain but luckily in true Auckland fashion the sun came out and they were able to have the ceremony in the beautiful gardens.

This was a special wedding for us to photograph not only because we knew the bride and groom but also a lot of the guests.
